FOUND RINGS & THINGS HANDED TO POLICE
I don't say: "Finders Keepers"
Western Australian Police Badge
Articles of value (Rings & other Jewelry) found
while beach & river detecting for coins, are handed
over to be held by the Western Australian Police for a
period of 2 months. It is rare to have anyone claim them so I get them returned to me & they have a Police certificate saying what the items are, which is great because it gives them credibility if I was to sell them.

Don't sell your house to go looking for the treasure that you read about here on Oztreasure, or any other website, for that matter. Invest in my art instead! :-)

STORIES OF RINGS
Lost & Found
A HEAD FULL OF RINGS
and it's not Tinnitus (that's a ringing in the ears)!
The treasure in the head was in a bundle of dirty paper wrapped around a stash of almost 150 gold rings with a total weight of 800 grams. The oldest was dated at the end of the XIX century.
so she stopped it and fished around for whatever was making the
sound. she removed the peach stone and switched it back on. But this time it made a metallic clanging sound. She switched it off again and retrieved her much loved ring which she hadn’t noticed had come off her finger. She was dismayed to see a stone had been ripped out of it.
Fortunately her hero husband Harry, came to the rescue and took apart the pipes to find the undamaged missing stone.

Fortunately her hero husband Harry, came to the rescue and took apart the pipes to find the undamaged missing stone.
She called a plumber to see if he could look in the drain.
But to do that, he had to make a hole in the wall to access
the pipe. When the plumber went to get some more tools,
she went in to her bathroom and noticed something sparkling on the bathmat. It was her diamond! The plumber patched up the wall and the ring was reset.

Convinced she must have thrown it out, in a panic she went through the garbage but she didn’t find her expensive
ruby ring. Distraught, she went to change and get ready for guests.
When the guests arrived she went to the oven and pulled out the appetizers that had been there for an hour.
To her surprise she found her ring sitting right on top of them.
Now after being baked for an hour with no damage she knows
for sure, that her ring is not made of paste.

So she advertised a reward in her local paper & had a guy with a metal detector searching for it.
For three months lots of people were out looking for her lost treasure.
Eventually deciding it was lost forever, she put in an insurance claim and was pleased to be able to find an almost identical replacement ring. With her new engagement ring on her finger she went for her regular walk with her dog.
(You might have guessed.... “She lost the new ring?”)
But no! Several streets away from her home, against all odds, she found the old original ring.

The ring was missing for five years, until one day a friend of his daughter was visiting. She was using the
bathroom and in the toilet she saw the ring, which somehow must have been caught in the pipe and for some reason flushed back up.

The couple retraced their steps, desperately searching
just about every corner of the zoo. But nothing!
Back at home feeling a little depressed she did the laundry, including the shorts she
had been wearing.
A few days later, while wearing the same shorts, she put her hand in her pocket and felt what she thought was a little rock she pulled it out and found that it was a rock,
but not just any rock, it was her missing diamond.

It was a real battle for him to smile and sing, while his mind was worrying about how hurt his wife would be, when he told that he had lost the ring. A couple of hours later, unhappily walking back along the same cobblestone path to the hotel, his eye was caught by the glint of gold between the cobbles. Elated & relieved, he picked up the ring & slipped it back onto his finger.(Happy wife-Happy life!)

1920's SILVER & CITRINE RING
Canning River Western Australia March 19 2012
Ring Found
1920's Ring
Found underwater buried in about 20cm of thick, smelly black mud.
The composition of the mud indicate it may have been lost 80 years ago or more. Although it looks alright, the silver is very corroded & was badly squashed. It is no surprise that the beautiful stone is like new. (Citrine is a hard 7 on MOH's Scale)
